Engineering Manager
Soelect Inc. is a fast-growing, multi-patented clean technology startup located in Greensboro, NC. Soelect has developed an advanced lithium metal composite anode that, when combined with a solid-state or liquid electrolyte, significantly increases energy density, power and safety while also lowering manufacturing costs through our patented material design and proprietary processes.
Position Brief
• Engineering Manager / Engineering Department
• FT Position: 40hrs per week / On-site M-F / Greensboro, NC.
• Safe, Clean, and Dust Free Work Environment
• Salary range: will be based on experience (with 7 years of industry experience), up to $125,000/ year
Qualifications
• B.S. Degree with minimum 7 years of work experiences (degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or related field)
• Metal foil/polymer film/paper manufacturing experience is a big plus
• With production scheduling, contract manufacturing and vendor relationship
• Commercializing new technologies in a production environment is preferred
• With financial management of a production facility including budget, expense management, and investment/return analysis
• Supervising dry-room, wet-lab, and engineering operations
• Hands-on experience and demonstrated in manufacturing start-up implementation
• In building supply-chain strategies with consideration for repairs and spares
• Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning experiences are a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of the design and development of roll-to-roll machine and components
• Able to use engineering tools, methods and machine knowledge to create, modify, re-design machine assembly drawings and part details.
• Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Problem-solving skills are highly required.
• Team player and able to adjust to the demands of an agile development environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead and implement the organization design and capabilities to support the regional near to long term goals and strategy.
• Lead to develop and implement footprint and equipment strategy for both machine and the final product, aligned with operations to drive transportation and conversion cost targets that meet the company near-term financial plan commitments.
• Monitor capacity through all processes within the plant to ensure future capacity investments are made appropriately to support long term demand plan.
• Lead to develop sound manufacturing methods for the production of moisture-sensitive products.
• Ability to deliver on multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must have an in-depth understanding and application of quality principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, affable, and demonstrated maturity and professionalism.
• Must be a strong problem solver with the ability to think logically and rationally.
• High work ethic and strong attention to details.
• Able to work in a cross-functional and geographically dispersed team environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a small, dynamic team responsible for product development.
